JewelryCraft Mod 1.7.2, 1.6.4

About JewelryCraft Mod:

This mod based on idea be able to create jewelry that you can then modify to create a special jewelry that applies a buff/debuff to the wearer.

Items and Blocks:

All Blocks, Items and Combinations can be found in the guide that you receive upon entering the world.

Shadow Ore

Let’s start with the beginning. This ore is extremely rare, found deep underground at y = 5 or lower.

Shadow Ingot



This item is obtained by smelting Shadow Ore. It is used in one normal recipe and in a smelter recipe.

Thiefing Gloves

Crafted with 4 Shadow Ingots and 4 Black Wool. If you right click with this on a villager while sneaking you take all the things he is selling to you, as well as all the emeralds you traded with him.

 

Smelter



In order to get started with the jewelry part of the mod you need the Smelter. It is crafted with 6 Cobblestone, 1 Empty Bucket and 1 Lava Bucket. Just place it down and right click on it with any ingot to start smelting it. Didn’t want to do that? Simple! Just crouch + right click to get the ingot out. Is it too late and the ingot has already melted? No problem. Place a Molder in front of the Smelter and place an Ingot Mold in the Molder. After that simply left click the Smelter and wait for the molten metal to cool. When it’s done cooling, simply left click the Molder.

Similar to the Casting Basin from Tinkerers Construct. It requires a mold in it in order for it to create something.

Molds



The molds are what you put into the Molder and define what item you create.

Jeweler’s Crafting Table



It accepts a jewel and a modifier. So far there is only the ring and as a modifier, blaze powder (for now). You right click the items in it. Take them out by crouch+right clicking. Crafting the result item by left clicking.

How to install JewelryCraft Mod :

• Download and install Minecraft Forge API and run Minecraft once so it makes necessary changes.


• Download the mod jar file from the link above.


• Go to Start Menu > Type %appdata%/.minecraft and press Enter. The Minecraft root directory will open.


• Go to Mods folder (/.minecraft/mods) and copy the Jar file there that you downloaded.


• Enjoy the Mod.

About Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2 Mod

Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2, is a recreation of the popular combat mod for minecraft currently in development. The mod focuses on

• Providing players with interesting and balanced combat features, including:
  • New weapons
  • Dual wielding of weapons
  • A shielding mechanic
• An extremally high level of customisation for a select number of items
• Opensource, meaning anyone is free to add to the code base

Mod Mechanics:

Weapon System / Dual Wielding

Mine and Blade 2 introduces a new weapon system to minecraft. This system will allow the player to have up to 3 weapons sets available to them that can be switched to using the ‘R’ key. The system allows the player to specify a mainhand and an offhand weapon (so allows select dual wielding).

By default any weapon can be placed into the weapon system and any weapon without a special right click function can be dual wielded. The mod will also scan though items for weapons added by mods. For further mod support there is an API (check the github repository)

Items are placed in the weapon system in a new GUI bound to the ‘I’ key

When dual wielding, the left mouse button will attack with the mainhand (right) weapon and the right mouse button will attack with the offhand weapon (left) or block with the shield

Shields

Mine and Blade 2 introduces a shielding mechanic different to the normal sword block. Blocking with a shield will reduce all blockable damage taken from the front 120 degree arc. However a player cannot block indefinably as there is a stamina bar that appears above the normal minecraft health/armour icons.

Shields are crafted as follows 

When struck by an arrow, the arrow will appear in the shield. Arrows can be retrieved by placing the shield by itself in the crafting matrix (the arrows will be added to your inventory when you retrieve the shield)

A shield bash can be preformed by pressing the ‘Z’ key. This will cause any mob in front of you to be knocked back. Using a shield bash will cause you to loose a third of your stamina bar and render you unable to attack for 1/2 a second.

Weapons & Armour

Waraxe

Although the waraxe does less damage to unarmoured foes than the sword, it is more able to penatrate armoured foes.

Mace

The mace’s blunt surface is perfect for dazing enemies

Spear

The spear is the weapon for those who would rather poke their enemy from a distance

Dagger

The dagger is a quick weapon with lower damage than the sword

Chainmail Armour

Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2 introduces a new way of obtaining chainmail armour. 3 chain links can be obtained by placing 2 iron ingots in a vertical arrangement in a crafting grid. Chain links can then be used to make chainmail armour

 

How to install Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2 Mod:

• Download and install Minecraft Forge
• Download Mine & Blade: Battlegear 2 Mod
• Drag and put the downloaded jar file into the .minecraft/mods folder. If one does not exist you can create one.

Before Install

• Install Forge or FML
  • Download Minecraft Forge or FML installer
  • Open Minecraft Launcher.
  • Select a profile (lower left corner of launcher window).
  • Edit Profile. Select Minecraft version that is compatible with Forge and ShadersMod (1.6.4 or 1.7.2) and save.
  • Click play. Wait for Minecraft to load.
  • After the game start successfully, close Minecraft.  Close launcher if it is still open.
  • Install Minecraft Forge or FML with the downloaded installer.
  • Open Minecraft Launcher.

  Select Forge or FML in profile box at lower left corner of launcher window.
Or select other profile and click Edit Profile and select Forge or FML version and save.

• Click Play.
• You should see "Mods" button in title screen below "Multiplayer" button.
• Check whether everything is alright and close Minecraft.

Install

• Copy ShadersModCore-....jar to %appdata%\.minecraft\mods folder. Make sure its file extension is ".jar", not ".zip".
• If you want to install other FML mods or Forge mods, copy them to the same mods folder.

Run

• Use Mojang's Minecraft Launcher to run Minecraft with Forge profile. (Don't worry if ShadersMod is not shown in mod list screen)
• Open Option menu, Shaders... button.  Click open shaderpacks folder.
• Put some shaderpacks in the folder.
• In Shaders screen click shaderpack name.

Minecraft 1.7.5 out tomorrow morning

Minecraft 1.7.5 is out tomorrow, a relatively minor update that nevertheless brings a few changes to the popular game.

Server-side performance of the game has been optimized for this update, while Mojang's easy to use online service 'Minecraft Realms' is being expanded to all Nordic countries. Minecraft Realms is a paid service that makes it much easier to organize playing the game with friends online. Mojang also says it is preparing to bring Realms to more countries soon, as it is only available in Sweden at the moment.

The next update of Minecraft will be released after the Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco, which runs from March 17th-21st. 1.7.6 will include support for a new skin system, among other things. The next major update, 1.8, is already available as a development snapshot, due for full release 'in 2014'. One of the improvements is described as 'yay, puppies for everyone!' - wolf puppies have been around in Minecraft for a while, but version 1.8 will let you feed them to speed up their growth.
